RESOLUTION 15 -2781 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT #1 TO SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT <br />NO. 3 WITH REISS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR ADDITIONAL POST - <br />DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE ELM DRIVE LIFT STATION <br />RELOCATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on January 13, 2014 via Resolution 14 -2560, the City Commission <br />approved Supplemental Agreement No. 3 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss <br />Engineering, Inc. (Reiss) to provide design services for the relocation of the Elm Drive lift <br />station; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing lift station was located at the back of a private residential <br />property under power lines which provides an inconvenient and unsafe working condition; and <br />WHEREAS, the lift station was relocated to the front of the private residential property; <br />WHEREAS, construction of the wet well on this project was difficult and required <br />additional inspection and coordination with the contractor; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff negotiated a proposal from Reiss for an amount not to <br />exceed $10,000 to perform additional post- design services for the Elm Drive Lift Station <br />Relocation project; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Amendment #1 to Supplemental <br />Agreement No. 3 with Reiss and finds it favorable to the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves <br />Amendment #1 to Supplemental Agreement No. 3 with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for additional <br />post- design services for an amount not to exceed $10,000, and authorizes the Mayor to execute <br />said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
