RESOLUTION 13 -2451 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE <br />2013 -2017 VOLUNTARY COOPERATION OPERATIONAL <br />ASSISTANCE MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITIES OF CASSELBERRY, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, LAKE <br />MARY, LONGWOOD, MAITLAND, OVIEDO, SANFORD, <br />WINTER SPRINGS, THE SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY, <br />AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into a Voluntary Cooperation Operational <br />Assistance Mutual Aid Agreement with the cities of Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Longwood, <br />Maitland, Oviedo, Sanford, Winter Springs, the Sanford Airport Authority, and the Seminole County <br />Sheriffs Office to extend mutual aid in the form of law enforcement services and resources to adequately <br />respond to continuing multi jurisdictional law enforcement problems, to protect the public peace and <br />safety, and preserve the lives and property of the people. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION L That the 2013 -2017 Voluntary Cooperation Operational Assistance Mutual Aid <br />Agreement and duties of law enforcement personnel as set forth therein between the City of Casselberry <br />and the aforementioned cities and the Sheriff's Office are hereby approved and shall remain in effect <br />until January 1, 2017. <br />SECTION II. The Mayor of the City of Casselberry is hereby authorized to execute said <br />Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Casselberry. <br />SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION IV. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or <br />effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION V.
