RESOLUTION 13 -2449 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE <br />2013 -2017 VOLUNTARY COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR <br />THE SEMINOLE COUNTY MULTI- AGENCY GANG TASK <br />FORCE BETWEEN THE CITIES <br />ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, LAKE MARY, <br />SANFORD, WINTER SPRINGS, THE <br />AUTHORITY AND THE SEMINOLE <br />OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />OF CASSELBERRY, <br />LONGWOOD, OVIEDO, <br />SANFORD AIRPORT <br />COUNTY SHERIFF'S <br />SEVERABILITY AND <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into a Voluntary Cooperation Agreement <br />with the cities of Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, Sanford, Winter Springs, the <br />Sanford Airport Authority, and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office to participate in the Seminole <br />County Multi- Agency Gang Task Force which provides a proactive county -wide approach as a means of <br />preventing the infiltration of gangs into our communities and to eliminate criminal street gang activity. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION L That the 2013 -2017 Voluntary Cooperation Agreement for the Seminole County <br />Multi- Agency Gang Task Force and duties of law enforcement personnel as set forth therein between the <br />City of Casselberry and the aforementioned agencies are hereby approved and will remain in effect until <br />January 1, 2017. <br />SECTION 11. The Mayor of the City of Casselberry is hereby authorized to execute said <br />Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Casselberry. <br />SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION IV. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or <br />effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION V.
