RESOLUTION 13 -2448 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE <br />2013 -2017 VOLUNTARY COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR A <br />CITY /COUNTY CANINE (K-9) UNIT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF <br />CASSELBERRY, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, LAKE MARY, <br />LONGWOOD, MAITLAND, OVIEDO, SANFORD, WINTER <br />SPRINGS, AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />TO PROVIDE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT CANINE SERVICES; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into a Voluntary Cooperation <br />Agreement with the cities of Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Longwood, Maitland, Oviedo, <br />Sanford, Winter Springs, and the Seminole County Sheriffs Office to provide operational <br />assistance for law enforcement canine services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. That the 2013 -2017 Voluntary Cooperation Agreement for the <br />City /County Canine (K -9) Unit and duties of law enforcement personnel as set forth therein <br />between the City of Casselberry and the aforementioned cities and the Sheriff's Office, are <br />hereby approved and will remain in effect until January 1, 2017. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with <br />any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION M. Severability. If <br />Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful <br />invalidate or impair the validity, force, o r <br />Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
