RESOLUTION 15 -2776 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH AJC CONSTRUCTION, LLC FOR THE SOUTH TRIPLET LAKE DRIVE PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, via Resolution 14 -2677, the City Commission awarded a construction contract to AJC Construction, LLC in the total bid amount of $1,055,174 for the improvements associated with the South Triplet Lake Drive project; and WHEREAS, via Resolution 14 -2677, The City Commission approved a 10% contingency for the project in the amount of $105,517; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $69,110.31 does not exceed the project's total overall 10% contingency of $105,515; and WHEREAS, the additional amount for the utility portion of the project specifically exceeds the 10% contingency by $6,053.07 which requires City Commission approval; and WHEREAS, field conditions not fully anticipated in the original plans for the project have warranted changes to the scope of the project, including (1) an additional sanitary sewer manhole (2) addition of main line reuse bends, (3) addition of reuse service laterals, (4) lowering of existing water service laterals, (5) additional removal of organic soils, (6) removal of installed storm pipe, and (7) reduction in the size of the residential dock and change in the structural components of the dock; and WHEREAS, the net additional cost of $69,110.31 associated with Change Order No. 1 adjusts the total contractual cost to $1,124,284.31; and WHEREAS, CDM -Smith provides Construction /Engineering/Inspection (CEI) professional services to the City for the South Triplet Lake Drive Project; and WHEREAS, CDM -Smith has reviewed Change Order No. 1 costs with AJC Construction, LLC regarding the changes in scope of the project and finds it acceptable; and WHEREAS, City Staff has reviewed Change Order No. 1 costs from AJC Construction, LLC and finds it adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Change Order No. 1 between the City of Casselberry and AJC Construction, LLC, in the amount of $69,110.31, and
