CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD <br />The City of Casselberry's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held its regular meeting <br />Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet <br />Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. Cheryl Evans called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. <br />Board Members Present: <br />Daphne Keys <br />Cheryl Evans <br />Ana Loghin <br />Jessica Eckhart <br />Ted Weeks <br />Board Members Absent: <br />None <br />Staff Present: <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />Karen Sorrentino, Recording Secretary <br />Audience <br />John Casselberry <br />Larry Lattrell <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Cheryl Evans moved to approve the February 10, 2015 minutes as written. Ana Loghin <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Staff Report: <br />• Casselberry 75th Anniversary — Banner's will be placed throughout the City to <br />promote Casselberry's 75th Anniversary. The Armed Forces and veterans will be <br />recognized at the May 8th Art & Music in the Park event and the May 23`d Hot <br />Rods & Rock n Roll event. <br />• Earth Fest — Looking for volunteers to help during the event. Duke Energy will <br />host a ribbon cutting ceremony announcing that the City will be transitioning to <br />LED only lighting. Workshops including tree planting, aquascaping and others <br />will be on site. Electric cars will be available for test drives. Festival will include <br />a beer garden and the Voices of the Wekiwa Live Concert with Tommy Malone. <br />• City Events — Due to upcoming construction, city events will be moved to Secret <br />Lake Park and /or a different location or possibly postponed until the project has <br />been completed. <br />• Sculpture Invitation — Moving along well, three sponsors so far. <br />• Soccer — Soccer is growing and additional fields are in demand and being <br />requested. <br />• Dew Drop Park Shoreline Restoration Project — The project will be held <br />4/18/15. Participants will be planting around two hundred plants. <br />
