RESOLUTION 14 -2616 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br />AMENDMENT #3 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH FLORIDA STRATEGIC <br />ADVISORS, INC. FOR REPRESENTATION AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS <br />CONSULTING SERVICES RELATING TO MATTERS DESIGNATED BY THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, an agreement with Florida Strategic Advisors, Inc. for representation and <br />government affairs consulting services relating to the U.S. Highway 17 -92 /State Road 436 Interchange <br />project was approved on January 30, 2012 via Resolution 12 -2341; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission approved Amendment #1 on June 25, 2012 via Resolution 12- <br />2390 and Amendment #2 on June 24, 2013 via Resolution 13 -2500; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry desires to extend and expand representation and <br />government affairs consulting services relating to matters designated by the City of Casselberry for the <br />third contract period ending June 30, 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed Amendment #3 to the Agreement with Florida Strategic <br />Advisors, Inc. in the amount of $36,000 for consulting services relating to matters designated by the City <br />of Casselberry and recommends approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Amendment #3 <br />to the Agreement dated January 30, 2012 with Florida Strategic Advisors, Inc. for representation and <br />government affairs consulting services relating to matters designated and deemed necessary by the City of <br />Casselberry and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolution in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or <br />effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br />passage and adoption. <br />
