You will recall that earlier this year, a draft copy of the agreement was sent to each of the cities in Seminole County, the County School Board and Council of Local Governments of Seminole County (CALNO), for review and comment. Since then, County staff has spent considerable time with staff from each of the cities to address their comments /concerns and recommended changes to the agreement. We are pleased that this revised agreement provides a time frame to initiate discussion among each jurisdiction regarding the preparation of joint planning agreements, and we are also pleased that the agreement has met with substantial consensus from the Planning Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC). We believe that this agreement will help achieve a more orderly, timely and consistent review of land use actions, and establish a framework for collaborative planning among our respective jurisdictions.
