RESOLUTION 14 -2603 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENT NO. 44 TO THE <br />CONTINUING CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CPH <br />ENGINEERS, INC. FOR EVALUATION AND DESIGN OF THE WATER <br />RECLAMATION FACILITY INFLUENT SCREEN AND HEADWORK <br />IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Casselbeny's Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) processes raw wastewater that is <br />collected in the collection system and further distributes the treated effluent in the reclaimed water <br />distribution system; and <br />WHEREAS, the raw wastewater enters the WRF through a single point known as the headwork; <br />I <br />WHEREAS, the headwork has suffered corrosion from the release of hydrogen sulfide over years <br />of use; and <br />WHEREAS, CPH Engineers, Inc. (CPH) maintains a continuing engineering services contract with <br />the City of Casselbeny; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works staff negotiated with CPH and obtained a cost proposal for <br />Supplemental Agreement No. 44, for an amount not to exceed $20,528 without prior authorization, to <br />provide evaluation and design of Casselbeny's Water Reclamation Facility Influent Screen and Headwork <br />Improvements Project; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 44 and finds it favorable to <br />meet the needs of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselbeny hereby approves Supplemental <br />Agreement No. 44 with CPH Engineers, Inc. for the evaluation and design of the Water Reclamation <br />Facility Influent Screen and Headwork Improvements Project for an amount of $20,528, and authorizes the <br />Mayor to execute said document(s) on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />
