RESOLUTION 14 -2607 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF BID FOR INIVTATION FOR BID Y140002 AND EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH LAYNE INLINER, LLC FOR THE STORM DRAIN REHABILITATION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, as part of its Stormwater, Lakes Management, and Water Quality Master Plan, the City of Casselberry has set aside funds for rehabilitation of City -owned storm drains in various locations in the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry requested proposals from qualified contractors via an advertisement in the Orlando Sentinel on March 9, 2014 for the Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project; and WHEREAS, on April 9, 2014 a total of five (5) sealed bids were received by the City; and WHEREAS, Layne Inliner, LLC (Layne) submitted the lowest responsive, responsible, and adequate bid in the amount of $666,307.20 and has experience performing similar work; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the bid proposal from Layne and finds it adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby awards the bid for Invitation for Bid Y140002 to, and approves the Agreement with, Layne Inliner, LLC for an amount not to exceed $666,307.20 and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
