• -- <br />The City of Casselberry's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held its regular meeting <br />Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 <br />Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. Jessica Eckhart called the meeting to order for <br />at 7:03 p.m. <br />Board Members Present: <br />Jessica Eckhart <br />Cheryl Evans <br />Daphne Keys <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Ana Mancheno <br />Staff Present: <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />D. Denyse Wilson, Recording Secretary <br />Audience <br />John Casselberry <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Ms. Eckhart moved to approve the July 9, 2013 minutes as written. Ms. Evans <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Items for Discussion: <br />® Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program Grant Application — <br />Redevelopment for Secret Lake Park. The City has the opportunity to submit <br />a grant application for FRDAP to renovate Secret Lake Park. The grant amount <br />will be $150,000 with $112,500 FRDAP funds and city funds are $37,500. <br />Renovations will include resurfacing basketball court, tennis court, improving <br />walking trail and boardwalk, natural habitat landscaping, storage area for kayaks, <br />and improving picnic areas. <br />Ms. Eckhart suggested a covering over the playground area with a shade <br />structure to provide shade. The grant application is due to be submitted by <br />September 30, 2013. <br />If awarded, the City has three years to complete the project. <br />Staff Report <br />• The Pool is closed. The Board suggested to offer water aerobics. <br />• Hands on Orlando /Altria was recognized with a plaque and photo album of the <br />group at one of the City Board Meetings. <br />
