RESOLUTION 14 -2585 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO ACCEPT THE NOVEMBER <br />2013 CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION STUDY, AND <br />DIRECT IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS RECOMMENDATIONS <br />TO INCLUDE AMENDING APPENDIX A OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY FISCAL YEAR 2014 BUDGET; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry has provided for <br />Classification and Pay Grade Schedules in Appendix A of the current year's Budget; and <br />WHEREAS, prudent management practices require classification and compensation <br />studies to be undertaken on a periodic basis, as such have been done in the past at the City of <br />Casselberry; and <br />WHEREAS, a Classification and Compensation Study for the City of Casselberry was <br />completed and is reflected in a report dated November 2013; and <br />WHEREAS, upon City Commission acceptance of said Classification and Compensation <br />Study, the existing Classification and Pay Grade Schedules and affected employee compensation <br />will be adjusted accordingly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission hereby accepts and directs the implementation of <br />the Classification and Compensation Study dated November, 2013, including amendment to the <br />Pay Grade Schedule for Directors and the Pay Grade Schedule for General and USW positions in <br />Appendix A of the City of Casselberry Fiscal Year 2014 Budget. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION HI. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date.
