A <br />brief discussion ensued regarding the appraised value and the assessed value. <br />Mr. McGregor made a motion to spend up to $30,000 for property acquisition work from The Triece <br />Company. Mr. Moore seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Sixth Item of Business: Director's Report <br />Ms. Smith stated that the Director's Report has already been discussed. In response to the Board's <br />question regarding the status of the Lu Rae Motel parcel, Mr. Dudgeon stated that the CRA authorized staff to <br />contact the property owner regarding purchasing the property for $600,000. He said the owner was not interested in <br />selling to the CRA but understands the Board is interested in his property for purposes of acquisition and <br />aggregation. <br />Mr. Dudgeon said at this time the motel is being used to house some of the construction workers for the <br />flyover project. He said the owner is doing some small maintenance modifications at this time. <br />A discussion ensued regarding any potential issues if Mr. Moore contacted the property owner of Lu Rae <br />Motel from a business standpoint to acquire the motel for housing students for the Aviation Institute. <br />In response to the Board's question regarding the status of the Multicultural Media Solutions Inc., business, <br />Mr. Dudgeon stated that the company is operating from that site. He said the loan portion for that business has been <br />paid back to the CRA in full. <br />Seventh Item of Business: Other Business <br />There was no other business before the Board. <br />Eighth Item of Business: Public Comments <br />Mr. McGregor asked for public comment. Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, <br />Florida came forward. Mr. Casselberry felt it was a legal conflict of interest to do market strategy that harms property <br />owner values and makes their customers go somewhere else. He suggested that the CRA send a letter to property <br />
