RESOLUTION 13 -2542 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 2 WITH REISS ENGINEERING, INC. FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE FOREST BROOK FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City recently completed a Wastewater Transmission Master Plan that provided a prioritized capital improvement plan; and WHEREAS, the Forest Brook force main is an asbestos cement pipe that is nearing the end of its service life and requires replacement; and WHEREAS, the Forest Brook Force Main Replacement project was included in the capital improvement plan; and WHEREAS, on August 26, 2013 via Resolution 13 -2519, the City Commission approved a Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. for Continuing Water and Sewer Utility Engineering Services; and WHEREAS, Reiss Engineering, Inc. has submitted a scope of services proposal via Supplemental Agreement No. 2 for design services for reclaimed water future demand modeling, for an amount not to exceed $88,372 without prior authorization; and WHEREAS, Public Works staff has reviewed Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc. and finds it favorable to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Standard Consultant Agreement with Reiss Engineering, Inc, for an amount not to exceed $88,372, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
