Ms. Harrell stated Casselberry is the only city that does not <br />allow the vehicles to be parked in residential areas for emergency response and if a gas leak <br />call was received in Casselberry, the commercial parking regulations would result in an hour <br />and a half response time even though Mr. Scherr lives in Casselberry. Ms. Harrell stated she <br />and Mr. Scherr have previously spoken to Deputy Chief Ruf regarding this matter and he <br />suggested they address the matter with the City Commission. Mayor Goff stated the City <br />Manager will discuss the matter with Deputy Chief Ruf and contact them regarding what the <br />position of the City is on the matter. <br />4) Carlos Candelaria, 1190 Park Drive, voiced concerns regarding his <br />emergency /commercial vehicle with signage and ladder racks he stated he needs to park at <br />his residence. Mr. Candelaria stated he was an electrician with Sunrise Electric, which is <br />the contractor for all the Florida Hospital locations. Mr. Candelaria stated he could cover <br />the signage of the van with magnets, but needed to keep the ladder racks. He also indicated <br />that he had not spoken to anyone in the Code Enforcement Division with regard to his <br />concerns. Mayor Goff suggested that Mr. Candelaria meet with the City Manager to <br />address his concerns. <br />5) Brian Lampman, 1190 Park Drive, voiced concerns regarding his commercial vehicle <br />with ladder racks he stated he needs to park at his residence. Mr. Lampman stated he was <br />a self employed electrical contractor, and his service van does not have any signage. He said <br />he is unable to fit the ladders needed for his employment inside of the van, and would be <br />willing to remove the ladders from the racks every day and storing them out of site when the <br />vehicle is parked at the residence, but needs to be able to keep the racks on the van. Mayor <br />Goff suggested that Mr. Lampman meet with the City Manager to address his concerns. <br />8) Robert Bowen, 119 Triplet Lake Drive, requested the City Commission reconsider <br />purchasing 110 Quail Pond Circle, which was considered and the purchase denied at the <br />May 12, 2008 meeting. Mr. Bowen stated he lives next door to the property and voiced <br />concerns regarding property. Mr. Bowen stated he would like to see the matter reconsidered <br />at the next City Commission meeting. <br />9) Harold Stewart, 2294 Park Maitland Court, Maitland, expressed an interest to be involved <br />in the budget process, including workshops. <br />10) Craig Tull, 420 Ranch Trail, reiterated his opposition and concerns regarding the current <br />prohibitions of ladder racks. Mr. Craig voiced further concerns regarding the current <br />recreational vehicle regulations which allow recreational vehicles longer and higher in <br />length than commercial vehicles to be parked in locations that commercial vehicles cannot <br />without a requirement for screening. Mr. Craig also voiced concerns regarding the <br />reclaimed water service, stating there was no service available at his residence on Sunday, <br />which is one of his two designated irrigation days. <br />No one else requested to be recognized during Citizen Comments. <br />
