RESOLUTION 13 -2530 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN <br />APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION RELATING TO FINANCIAL <br />ASSISTANCE FROM THE FLORIDA RECREATION DEVELOPMENT <br />ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF SECRET <br />LAKE PARK AND COMMITTING TO AMEND THE CITY'S <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IF AWARDED FUNDS; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberiy has maintained Secret Lake Park over the years; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the Park is to provide wholesome outdoor recreational <br />activities for the residents of the City of Casselberiy, Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida may appropriate funding to assist with the <br />Redevelopment of Secret Lake Park Project through the Florida Recreation Development <br />Assistance Program during the Fiscal Year 2014/15, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION L The City Commission hereby approves submittal of a grant application to <br />the State of Florida for fiscal year 2014/15 to provide financial assistance for the redevelopment <br />of Secret Lake Park for a total of $150,000 (including a 25% local match in cash, materials, and <br />in -kind services) and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City of <br />Casselbeny. The City Commission also commits to incorporate the Redevelopment of Secret <br />Lake Park Project into its Capital Improvement Program, should the project receive State <br />funding. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION M. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
