CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 12, 2013 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 8 of 16 <br />amount of $1,585,700 and available in the Health hlsurance expenditure accounts for each department. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Finance Director recommended approval of the negotiated <br />renewal for health insurance coverage with Cigna Healthcare. <br />J. Amended Application and Acceptance of Edward Byrne Memorial Assistance Counjywide <br />Grant FY 13/14 <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration to participate in a grant application through Seminole <br />County for Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant fiends in the amount of $141,507 for designated <br />use by governmental agencies within Seminole County, including $17,688 by the City of Casselberry for the <br />purchase of in -car video systems. <br />Budget Impact: There is no budget impact at this time. A budget amendment will be prepared upon receipt <br />of the grant funds. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to participate in the grant <br />application for $141,507 to be filed and coordinated by Seminole County and the allocation of $17,688 to the <br />City of Casselberry for in -car video systems. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address any item on the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Hufford moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5 -0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Commissioner Fry requested that the Commission consider a future resolution stating the City's opposition to <br />any proposal for converting State Road 436 into a toll road, as had been mentioned recently in the news. <br />Mayor Glancy reported that the Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC) had discussed the issue and had also <br />expressed opposition to any such plan. She added that the study that included tolling as one of the options was <br />in the very early stages, but certainly the Commission could address it at such time as it became necessary. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan)Report — Mayor Glancy <br />Reported briefly that there had been some discussion about the FlexBus program having been removed and <br />then replaced on the priority list. She added that the Committee had expressed its support for the program. <br />
