RESOLUTION 13 -2493 WHEREAS, the Triplet Chain of Lakes receive significant pollutant loading from multiple sources, often resulting in diminished water quality; and WHEREAS, a detailed hydrologic and nutrient budget evaluation of these lakes revealed significant phosphorus loading likely due to internal recycling in North Lake Triplet and Middle Lake Triplet; and WHEREAS, Environmental Research and Design, Inc. (ERD) has evaluated the sediments of North and Middle Lake Triplet and has determined recommended dosing requirements for alum treatments; and WHEREAS, ERD has proposed to provide the recommended alum treatments; and WHEREAS, ERD has previously satisfactorily completed projects of a similar nature; and WHEREAS, ERD was selected by the City for a Standard Consultant Agreement to provide Continuing Professional Stormwater Services for the City; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the proposed Supplemental Agreement No. 7 to the Agreement with Environmental Research and Design, Inc. and finds it sufficient to meet the needs of the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION L The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Supplemental Agreement No. 7 to the Standard Consultant Agreement for Continuing Professional Stormwater Services between Environmental Research and Design, Inc. and the City of Casselberry to provide sediment inactivation treatments in Middle Lake Triplet and North Lalce Triplet in an amount not to exceed $133,532, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION H. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed.
