X►� \ -1 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry adopted the City Code in 1982 and updated the code in 1993, <br />providing requirements for the parking of abandoned, derelict, and inoperable vehicles on private property <br />within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry desires to provide consistency within the <br />City Code for the requirements and wording related to the storage of abandoned, derelict, and inoperable <br />vehicles within residential areas; and <br />WHEREAS, inconsistencies exist between City Code Section 82 -13 (c) Storage of abandoned or <br />derelict vehicles on private property, and ULDR Section 3 -10.9, Parking of vehicles in residential districts; <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry finds that the incorrect storage of <br />abandoned, derelict and inoperable vehicles is detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of <br />Casselberry; and <br />WHEREAS, words with double underlined type shall constitute additions to the original text and 6t4ke <br />through shall constitute deletions to the original text. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT ENACTED by the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, <br />Florida: <br />SECTION 1. That Section 82 -13, Abandoned or derelict vehicles, Part II Code of Ordinances, <br />Chapter 82 Traffic and Vehicles of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida shall be <br />amended as follows: <br />Sec. 82.13. - Abandoned or derelict vehicles. <br />(c) Storage of band ne,4 i- ei-e' e unlicensed and/or inoperable vehicles on private <br />property. No person in charge or in control of any property within the City, whether an <br />owner, tenant, occupant, lessee, or otherwise, shall allow any deren et, disabled, of <br />abandexed unlicensed and/or inoperable vehicle to be placed or remain on such property <br />unless such vehicle is within a completely enclosed building, ef earpeft permanent!), <br />
