ORDINANCE 11 -1357 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA; AMENDING CHAPTER 52 OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY CODE OF ORDINANCES, BY <br />REPEALING ARTICLE II, CIVIL SERVICE BOARD, IN <br />ITS ENTIRETY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Federal and State labor laws and goals for organizational effectiveness have <br />changed in the past four years; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 52, Human Resources, Article I, Sec. 52 -1, provides for an <br />Employee Manual that includes a disciplinary appeal procedure for employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the functions performed by the Civil Service Board have not been utilized <br />since 2004; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that the employee disciplinary appeal procedure <br />and related procedures established in the Employee Manual to be efficient, fair, reasonable and <br />sufficient to replace the functions performed by the Civil Service Board; and <br />WHEREAS, words with strike through shall constitute deletions to the original text. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the City Commission of the City of <br />Casselberry, Florida: <br />SECTION 1. That Chapter 52, Human Resources, Article II., Civil Service Board, Sec. <br />52 -21 through Sec. 52 -29 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Casselberry, Florida, are <br />hereby repealed. <br />ART-!Ghh U.
