CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CASSELBERRY HOUSING TASK FORCE NSP SUBCOMMITTEE <br />The City of Casselberry Housing Task Force NSP Subcommittee held a public meeting on Friday, July 20, <br />at 3:00 P.M. in the Casselberry City Commission Chambers at 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />Members present: <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia, Chairperson <br />Andrew Meadows <br />Michael Wadley <br />Kelly Pisciotta <br />Staff members present: <br />Don Martin, Community Development Director <br />Kyle Dudgeon, Economic Development Planner <br />Call to Order /Roll Call <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Aramendia at 3:06 p.m. Roll was called; a quorum was <br />present. <br />Pledge of Allegiance <br />Commissioner Aramendia led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Neighborhood Stabilization Program Review <br />Mr. Don Martin, Community Development Director, outlined the potential for acquiring Seminole County <br />Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds provided by the federal government. He said the purpose of the meeting <br />was to fashion a plan that could be submitted to the County in order to receive funding. Parts of Casselberry were <br />eligible to receive these funds for the purposes of neighborhood stabilization. Mr. Martin submitted that Seminole <br />County's NSP funds were divided between rental and owner - occupied programs, and suggested that it would be <br />more beneficial for Casselberry to target owner - occupied funds. He submitted for consideration that Casselberry use <br />NSP money to target North Casselberry neighborhoods, and proposed that Casselberry consider a relationship with <br />Habitat for Humanity to stabilize targeted properties. The subcommittee approved moving forward with the proposal. <br />
