kV <br />The City of Casselberry's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held its regular meeting <br />Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 <br />Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. June Herron called the meeting to order at 7:03 <br />p.m. <br />Board Members Present: <br />June Herron <br />Daphne Keys <br />Jessica Eckhart <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Cheryl Evans (excused) <br />Staff Present: <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />Alicia Kardell, Recording Secretary <br />Audience <br />John Casselberry <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Ms. Herron moved to approve the November 13 minutes as written. Ms. Eckhart <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Items for Discussion: <br />None <br />• The Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on December 14 in Lake Concord Park. <br />This event will be combined with the Art & Music in the Park /Food Trucks /Movie. <br />There will be five groups providing entertainment. Ms. Moore would like to <br />recognize the PRAB during the event at 6 pm. <br />• The Recreation Center is open and the seniors are very happy with the <br />renovations. <br />• Recreation staff will be running a holiday kid's camp at Wirz Park. The cost will <br />be $20 /day Residents, $25 /day Non - Residents. <br />• The Farmer's Market continues to bring in a steady flow of people from 12 -4 pm <br />on Sundays. The market coordinator plans to have 25 vendors present in the <br />New Year. <br />• A new cheerleading program has been launched at Secret Lake Park. The <br />program is held on Tuesdays at 7 pm. <br />• The Spring Golf and Jazz events will be held on March 8 & 9, 2013. <br />• The Fishing Grant deadline is January 15. Ms. Moore is hopeful that the City will <br />receive this grant money. <br />
