• in ii The City of Casselberry's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held its regular meeting Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. June Herron called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m. Board Members Present: June Herron Daphne Keys Jessica Eckhart Board Members Absent: Cheryl Evans Staff Present: Linda Moore, Recreation Manager Alicia Kardell, Recording Secretary Approval of Minutes Ms. Eckhart moved to approve the June 12 minutes as written. Ms. Keys seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Items for Discussion: Wirz Trail Section I Update - Luis Cruz couldn't be at tonight's meeting. Ms. Moore said that Section I is now open. Recreation Center Renovations - The Recreation Center is currently undergoing renovations and the work is scheduled to be completed by November 21, 2012. The kitchen is being upgraded with new cabinets and counters. The ceiling and lighting in the main room is also being upgraded. The main bathrooms are being remodeled. New front and side automatic doors will be installed. Three French doors will be added to the main room. • Latin Jazz Fest- El Sentinel was very pleased with the Jazz Fest. Many positive comments were received from both the attendees and the Jazz artists. The next Jazz concert will be held in March 2013. • Rock N' Run- The annual Rock N' Run 5k will be held this Saturday at 7:30 am. This event is run by Track Shack. • There is a new "Yoga at Lunch" program for City employees on Mondays from 12 -1 pm and Wednesdays from 1 -2 pm in the Commission Chambers. • The Movie in the Park series will begin in October with Spooky Buddies. • The Tree Lighting and Movie in the Park will be combined in December. • The Art and Music in the Park /food truck bazaar event is on- going. November will feature Blues music.
