CITY OF <br />The City of Casselberry's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held its regular meeting <br />Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 <br />Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. June Herron called the meeting to order at 7:02 <br />p.m. <br />Board Members Present: <br />June Herron <br />Cheryl Evans <br />Daphne Keys <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Jessica Eckhart (excused) <br />Michael Mason (unexcused) <br />Staff Present: <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />Alicia Kardell, Recording Secretary <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Ms. Herron moved to approve the December 13th minutes as written. Ms. Evans <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Items for Discussion <br />Little League Opening Day - <br />Ms. Moore said the Casselberry Little League will hold their opening day ceremony at <br />Wirz Park on Saturday, February 25 beginning at 10 am. The event will include a <br />parade, exhibition game, fundraising, bounce house, and fun for the whole family. Ms <br />Moore is looking for volunteers for a City table at the event. <br />® 1,250 pounds of air potatoes were removed from the area near Wirz Trailhead <br />during the recent Air Potato Raid. <br />® Last Friday's Art & Music in the Park was very successful. Although the weather <br />wasn't great, there was a big crowd and everyone seemed to be enjoying all the <br />different types of gourmet food available. The next event will be March 9. <br />® The next Movie in the Park, Zookeeper, will be shown on March 2 in Lake <br />Concord Park at 6:30 pm. <br />® There is currently an AP Student Art Exhibit at the Art House. Viewing is <br />available Mon -Fri, 10 am- 5 pm. <br />
