l <br />The City of Casselberry's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held its regular meeting <br />Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet <br />Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. June Herron called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. <br />Board Members Present: <br />June Herron <br />Daphne Keys <br />Cheryl Evans <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Jessica Eckhart (excused) <br />Staff Present: <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />Alicia Kardell, Recording Secretary <br />Audience <br />John Casselberry <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Ms. Herron moved to approve the December 11 minutes as written. Ms. Keys <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Items for Discussion: <br />None <br />• The Tree Lighting Ceremony held on December 14 had a great turnout. Ms. Keys <br />mentioned that the Change this World booth made a profit of $450. <br />• Wirz Trail has been renamed to the Casselberry Greenway Trail. Mr. Cruz is <br />working on easement agreements for Phase III. When completed, the <br />Casselberry Greenway Trail will be approximately five miles long. Ms. Moore said <br />she would bring an updated map to the next PRAB meeting. <br />• There will be an Air Potato Raid on January 19 from 9 am- Noon at the trailhead. <br />This event is part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Service Day. Volunteers will work <br />together to pick up air potatoes to prevent further destruction of the wetland <br />ecosystem. <br />• The Hindu Cowboys will be performing this Friday night at the Food Truck event. <br />• The next Movie in the Park is scheduled for February 1 (Dolphin Tale). <br />• The Spring Golf and Jazz events will be held on March 8 & 9, 2013. <br />• Ms. Moore is applying for a NEA grant for public art signage. <br />• The Farmer's Market has temporarily moved to the front of City Hall. This will <br />give the market more exposure and it is a little bit warmer. The market will go <br />back to its original location behind City Hall in Lake Concord Park by next month. <br />
