Appointment of Interim Community Development Director <br />Introduction: Consideration to appoint Sandra Smith as the Interim Community Development Director due to <br />the anticipated vacancy in the position is requested. <br />Budget Impact: While in place, the Interim Community Development Director will be paid less than the <br />departing Director which will result in budgetary savings. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager recommended the appointment of Sandra Smith as Interim Community <br />Development Director. <br />K. Resolution 12 -2427 — Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association Collective <br />Bar a <br />� fining Agreement <br />Introduction: Resolution 12 -2427 approves and authorizes the execution of a Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement (CBA) between the City of Casselberry and the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association <br />(CFPBA) for the three -year term beginning October 1, 2012 and ending September 30, 2015. <br />Background: The City employs 43 Police Officers, some of which are assigned as Corporals, and seven (7) <br />Police Sergeants, who are represented by the CFPBA. The City and the CFPBA ratified the current CBA on <br />July 26, 2010, which was in effect through September 30, 2012. The City and the CFPBA began negotiations <br />on May 30, 2012 for a successor agreement pursuant to Article 40 of the current CBA and in accordance with <br />the Florida Constitution Article 1, Section 6 and the Public Employees Relations Act, Florida Statutes Section <br />447. <br />
