CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of November 14, 2011— Regular Meeting <br />Page 7 of 23 <br />BA #12-006: <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks Commission approval to utilize $8,562 from the State Law <br />Enforcement Trust Fund for the purpose of purchasing specialized equipment for the Police Department's <br />recently formed Ready Response Team. The Ready Response Team was created as a means of assisting the <br />Department in enhancing its ability in crime prevention and providing safer neighborhoods for its residents. <br />Furthermore, the formation of such a team is a first for the Casselberly Police Department and was <br />implemented after the development and approval of the FY 11/12 budget; therefore the expenses for such are, <br />at present, outside the Police Department's normal operating needs. Resolution 11 -2320 — Equipment Schedule No. 09 Exhibits and Documents to the <br />Master Lease Agreement No. 0592 with SunTrust Equipment Finance & Leasing <br />Corporation and Related Budget Amendment #12 -007 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND <br />APPROVING EXHIBITS A THROUGH G -2 AND RELATED DOCUMENTS FOR EQUIPMENT <br />SCHEDULE NO.9 TO THE MASTER LEASE AGREEMENT DATED OCTOBER 12, 2000 WITH <br />SUNTRUST EQUIPMENT FINANCE & LEASING CORPORATION FOR THE LEASE PURCHASE <br />OF SEVEN (7) POLICE VEHICLES, FIFTY -NINE (59) PORTABLE DIGITAL RADIOS, TWO (2) <br />CODE COMPLIANCE VEHICLES, ONE (1) FIRE DIVISION MANAGER VEHICLE, FOUR (4) <br />SETS OF EXTRICATION EQUIPMENT AND ONE (1) STREETS MAINTENANCE DUMP TRUCK; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 11 -2320 authorizes execution of Exhibits A through G -2 and related documents for <br />Equipment Schedule No. 9 for seven (7) Police vehicles, fifty -nine (59) digital radios, one (1) Division <br />Manager vehicle, four (4) sets of extrication equipment 0 aws of life), two (2) Code Compliance vehicles, and <br />one (1) Streets Maintenance dump truck to the Master Lease Agreement dated October 12, 2000 with SunTrust <br />Equipment Finance & Leasing Corporation. <br />
