CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of November 14, 2011— Regular Meeting <br />Page 17 of 23 <br />Discussion: A brief discussion ensued regarding the pending Seminole County litigation; what options there <br />were in the event the County's litigation was not resolved by the March expiration date; how the issue was <br />being handled by other jurisdictions in Florida; and various enforcement issues. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City's budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended adoption of <br />Resolution 11 -2321. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy opened the public hearing relative to Resolution 11 -2321 to hear and consider <br />comments and questions regarding this issue. No one carne forward. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing <br />relative to Resolution 11 -2321. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Hufford moved to approve Resolution 11 -2321, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Miller. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote 4- 0. <br />No items were scheduled on this agenda. <br />No items were scheduled on this agenda. <br />This item was removed from the agenda and will be re- scheduled for a fixture agenda at a date and time to be <br />determined. This action was approved by a Motion which passed unanimously by voice vote 4 -0 earlier in this <br />meeting. <br />B. City Commission VacancX <br />Mayor Glancy requested that the City Cleric or City Attorney advise the Commission as to any <br />recommendations for the process to be followed in filling the Commission vacancy. Ms. Reischmann <br />explained that the Charter provided that if an appointment was not made within thirty days of a vacancy the <br />City Cleric must call a special election; however, there was no actual standard process for the appointment. She <br />added that unless the desire was to proceed with an election, the selection process could not be extensive due to <br />the thirty day time constraint set out in the Charter. <br />
