City Council
June 25, 1984
Mr. Robertson said at the meeting of the Codes Enforcement
Board May 17, 1984, the case against Grady Cobb had been dismissed. He asked
what action was contemplated by the City. Mayor Glascock said he was under
the impression that Cobb's appeal had been rejected, not the entire case. The
Mayor said he had not received notification from the attorney as to what pro-
cedure to follow.
Mr. Robertson asked if the Administration was looking into
HMO (Health Care Plan). Mayor Glascock said he had a meeting scheduled with
HMO for Friday morning, June 29, 1984 at 9:00 A.M.
Mr. Embree asked for a status report on Sundown..Trail. Mayor
Glascock said the DER Stormwater Permit and Dredge /Fill Permit have been
issued; the off -site drainage easement was recorded. The City Engineer has
sent a letter to Messrs. Barfield, Greene and Bateman requesting they furnish
the City with a schedule of related implementation of drainage and paving
improvements — we cannot do anything until we receive these easements.
Mr. Embree asked for a status report on the computer software
implementation. Ms. Zike said they have had problems with the program; data
was being inputed daily into the computer and the program should be fully
operational in approximately two months.
Mr. Harmon asked if the Sewage Capacity Report (the quarterly
report Council requested at the end of March 1984) would be forthcoming?
Mayor Glascock asked Mr. Keuling if the report was ready? Mr. Keuling said
it was not - nothing was changed - we do not have any more capacity and are
not taking any more letters, just filing them. In fact, if the flow meters
continue to show a gain, and we are having some problems, we will be running
at the bottom of the list. Mr. Keuling further stated that he did not want
to commit any more capacity, especially with Iron Bridge and was looking into
August 1984 before a possibility of any more applications being accepted.
Council Meetings scheduled for July 2.and 9, 1984 have been
cancelled. The next scheduled meeting is July 16, 1984.
Mr. Stone moved to contine the meeting to the call of the
Chair. Mr. Harmon seconded.
