Mr. Bland stated he knows he <br />was in violation of the overgrown weeds and did not get a notice. Mr. Bland thinks the officer should have <br />spoken with him. A neighbor borrowed his lawnmower and broke it. <br />MOTION: Mr. Henson moved to find Respondent in this case was /were in repeat violation of City Code as <br />charged based on the Board's prior order entered against the same Respondent for the same violation. The <br />Respondent brought the property into compliance on 09/24/2012. A fine in the amount of $1,400.00 is <br />hereby imposed for 14 days of repeat violation. Mr. Smith seconded the motion. Ms. Hale voted nay, all <br />others voted aye. A fine of <br />$50.00 per day is hereby imposed beginning 09/12/2012 and shall continue until there is compliance. The <br />Respondents are further ordered to Contact the Code Compliance Officer to verify compliance with this <br />Order. I find that the violations constitute a serious threat to the public health, safety and welfare and in the <br />event the Respondents do not correct the violation by the date set in this order, the city commission shall be <br />notified and appropriate action should be taken by the City to bring the property into compliance.
