RESOLUTION 12.2420 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />EXPRESSING THE CITY COMMISSION'S INTENT TO SEEK TO <br />PRESERVE THE CASSELBERRY GOLF COURSE PROPERTY; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, many citizens are concerned about the future of the Casselberry Golf Course, an <br />historic urban course which provides a natural buffer in the middle of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Golf Course is privately owned, and the owners have indicated that the <br />course is not financially viable; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission hereby officially acknowledges the citizens' concerns about the <br />future of the Golf Course, and promises to work with the citizens to try to preserve the Golf Course property. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. The City Commission, having recognized the Casselberry Golf Course as a unique <br />asset for all the citizens of the City, hereby resolves to seek to work cooperatively with the residents and with <br />the Golf Course owners to try to preserve the Golf Course property, in recognition of its value as an integral <br />green space in the heart of the City, and a valuable and unique urban course. <br />SECTION 2. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of <br />this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 3. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of <br />any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage <br />and adoption. <br />PASSED and ADOPTED this day of O , AD 2012. <br />ATTEST: <br />Donna G.
