RESOLUTION 12.2420 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING THE CITY COMMISSION'S INTENT TO SEEK TO PRESERVE THE CASSELBERRY GOLF COURSE PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, many citizens are concerned about the future of the Casselberry Golf Course, an historic urban course which provides a natural buffer in the middle of the City; and WHEREAS, the Casselberry Golf Course is privately owned, and the owners have indicated that the course is not financially viable; and WHEREAS, the City Commission hereby officially acknowledges the citizens' concerns about the future of the Golf Course, and promises to work with the citizens to try to preserve the Golf Course property. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Commission, having recognized the Casselberry Golf Course as a unique asset for all the citizens of the City, hereby resolves to seek to work cooperatively with the residents and with the Golf Course owners to try to preserve the Golf Course property, in recognition of its value as an integral green space in the heart of the City, and a valuable and unique urban course. SECTION 2. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this day of O , AD 2012. ATTEST: Donna G.
