CITY ®F CASSELBERRY <br />PARKS ~ RECREAI°I®N ADVIS®RY B®ARD <br />The City of Casselberry's Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held its regular meeting <br />Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in the City of Casselberry Commission Chambers, 95 <br />Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. June Herron called the meeting to order at 7:00 <br />p.m. <br />Board Members Present: <br />June Herron <br />Jessica Eckhart <br />Daphne Keys <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Cheryl Evans (Excused) <br />Michael Mason (Excused) <br />Staff Present: <br />Linda Moore, Recreation Manager <br />Alicia Kardell, Recording Secretary <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Ms. Keys moved to approve the October 11t" minutes as written. Ms. Eckhart seconded <br />the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Items for Discussion <br />None <br />Staff Report <br />The Halloween event was a success with approximately 4,000 people in <br />attendance. The Orlando Sentinel has confirmed that they will be on board again <br />for next year. Ms. Moore would like to see more vendors for trick or treating next <br />year. She would also like to have a separate Halloween event for dogs in the <br />future. <br />The Tree Lighting ceremony will be held on Friday, December 2 at 6 pm in Lake <br />Concord Park. There will be live music by local groups and a visit by Santa. A <br />showing of The Grinch will follow at 7 pm. Ms. Moore plans to have booths for <br />Seniors for a Better Community and the PRAB with hot chocolate, coffee, and <br />hot apple cider. Willow Creek Church will have a booth providing a dessert <br />tasting. There will also be vendors selling food. <br />There will be a Pawmosa Dog Park cleaning on Saturday, December 17 from <br />gam- Noon. Those wanting to volunteer should contact Hands on Orlando. <br />
