Mr. Larry Bittle, 2649 Queen Mary Place,
Maitland, Florida came forward. Mr. Bittle stated that he only has 11' on that side of the house and he would need to
remove trees and relocate a fountain and landscaping. Mr. Bittle felt that it would be difficult to relocate the screen door.
A brief discussion ensued regarding the previous approved variance for the Bittle property.
Ms. Erin Tompkins, President of Brittany Gardens Homeowners' Association, came forward. Ms. Tompkins
stated that the proposed roof would not be seen from the front of the neighborhood and there is nothing located behind
the home. She felt that it would not be visually unpleasant for anyone in the community. Ms. Tompkins stated that the
Board recently granted a variance at 2689 Queen Mary Place for a similar roof.
Mr, Guzman requested the Board Secretary provide copies of the 2010 Board of Adjustment minutes. A brief
recess was taken while Ms. Dixon retrieved the requested documents.
Mr. Raasch stated that he could review the presentations for the variance requests for Mr. Joseph Bongiorno
(BA 10-02) and Ms. Karen Dedering (BA 10-05). A brief discussion ensued regarding the impervious surface calculations
for the property.
Ms. Dixon distributed copies of the June 24, 2010 and August 26, 2010 Board of Adjustment minutes and a
portion of the staff report for BA 10-02 showing the previous approved variances for the Brittany Garden's subdivision to
the Board (copies are attached and made a part of the minutes).
