Ball Fields at Wirz Park. Ms. Simmons showed the board a picture of the large <br />stone w/engraved plaque in honor of Mr. Cliff Stone. <br />Upcoming Events & Programs <br />o The next Movie in the Park will be How to Train Your Dragon on March 18 <br />from 7-9 p.m. in Lake Concord Park. <br />o The Seminole County Fair will be held on March 25 at the Recreation <br />Center from 9 a.m. -Noon. <br />o Earth Day 2011-It's in your Hands will be held on April 23 from 10 a.m.-3 <br />p.m. in Lake Concord Park. The event will feature six interactive areas <br />including one for kids. Over 200 trees will be given away to Seminole <br />County residents. The event is sponsored by the City, Keep Seminole <br />Beautiful and Friends of the Park. <br />o Class Athlete will be having its "Fun Day" again this summer before the <br />kids go back to school. <br />hoard Member Reports <br />Ms. Eckhart mentioned that the water fountain at the Wirz Trailhead wasn't working last <br />time she visited. She also added that it would be nice to have a pet fountain there as <br />well. <br />Audience Participation <br />John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, commented on the 60 Minutes episode <br />featuring Central Florida's homeless children that was recently aired. He suggested <br />that the school board might allow homeless children and their families to use the <br />showers at school. He also feels that a designated sleeping/camping area for the <br />homeless would be beneficial. <br />Discussion ensued regarding homelessness and available resources for those in need. <br />Adjournment <br />Ms. Herron moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:47 pm. Ms. Eckhart seconded the <br />motion.
