Ms. Lipscomb said she also talked to her about the Federal Government passing the post office property to <br />Local Government and the Postmistress was very enthusiastic about it and thought it was a good idea. Ms. <br />Lipscomb stated that the Postmistress said that if the City wanted to provide a retail presence for the Post Office, the <br />City would need to provide that store front. <br />Ms. Lipscomb said if the City wanted to consolidate the Civic Center area, the Police Department could be <br />relocated to another facility; however, there is no money to renovate the facility. She estimated that a third of the <br />Police Department Building is being utilized by the Police Department. She said that the Police Department building <br />could be sold and that money could be used to relocate the Police Department. She said this option has been <br />discussed with the Commissioners individually but not as a group. <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding possible redevelopment options for the industrial property around <br />Grassy Lake and the impact of various completed flyover projects. The Board felt that the flyover project would <br />impact the Grassy Lake property. <br />The following changes were made to the CRA Plan Update: <br />1. Section 4.2.3 -Urban Character -Deleted reference to Lake Concord Park <br />2. Broaden the language for the development of the City Center Site <br />3. Add third vision for development of the Target outparcels that does not require the extra <br />infrastructure improvements <br />Seventh Item of business: Director's Report <br />Mr. Martin stated that he provided his Director's Report during the review of the CRA Plan Update. <br />Eighth Item of business: ®ther business <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the CRA acquiring the Rubin parcel. Ms. Lipscomb stated that Mr. <br />John Grossman has some commercial listing in Casselberry and he may be able to assist in marketing the Target <br />outparcels. <br />Ninth Item of business: Public Comments <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Casselberry <br />explained that the Casselberry Post Office was originally located on the current City Center site and he was told that <br />Post Offices preferred to be located near commercial businesses due to the volume of business generated from the <br />
