Budget Amendment #11-021 -Use of State Forfeiture Funds to Purchase Prescription Drug Lockers Introduction: Consideration of Budget Amendment # 11-021 to use State forfeiture funds in the amount of $1,260 for the purchase of prescription drug lockers (Rx Lockers) is requested. Budget Impact: The impact to the budget is an increase to Account #104-0610-521.52-00 (Operating Supplies) in the amount of $1,260 and an increase to Account #104-0000-389.90-00 (Other Non-Operating Sow•ces) in the amount of $1,260. BA# 11-021 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to purchase Rx Lockers to continue efforts to curb prescription drug abuse and provide a safe method for families to maintain prescription drugs while at the same time keep them out ofthe hands of children and teens. The Police Department is requesting to utilize $1,260 fiom the State Law Enforcement Trust Fund.
