CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of March 14, 2011- Regalar Meeting Page 5 of 13 EXECUTION OF AN AMENDED LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE WIRZ TRAIL SECTION 1 PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 11-2239 provides for consideration of an amended Local Agency Program (LAP) agreement between the City of Casselberly and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) providing for financial reimbursement to the City in the amount of $1,284,158 for construction costs of Wirz Trail Section 1. Approval of the associated Budget Amendment #11-022 is also requested. Budget Impact: The Parks Capital Improvement Fund for Bike Patch/Pedestrian Trails account #304-0410- 572.63-89 will be decreased to reflect the City match of $27,856 required by the revised FLOT LAP Agreement. Funds in the Recreation Escrow Account#013-04010-572.63-89 will provide the City match of $27,856. BA# 11-022 Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to amend the Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement between the City of Casselberty and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) providing for financial reimbursement in the amount of $1,284,158 for construction of Section 1 of the Wirz Trail. The grant total has been decreased to recognize a $27,856 City match to be paid out of the Recreation Escrow Fund (103-0410-572.63-89). The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistant (CFDA) number is 20.205 and the City Project number is PKBTPHI.
