Minutes of August 24,2009- Regular Meeting <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Solomon moved to approve the minutes of the August 24, 2009 <br />Regular meeting as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Miller. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4 - O. <br /> <br />6. PRESENT A TIONS/COMMENDA TIONS <br /> <br />A. MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION - PAUL MITCHELL THE SCHOOL DAY- <br />OCTOBER 12, 2009 <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy presented Mr. Giulio Veglio, Owner, and Ms. Tara Dowdal, Director, with a proclamation <br />recognizing Paul Mitchell the School for its outstanding corporate citizenship and appreciation for its <br />charitable contributions made to the Casselbeny community. <br /> <br />B. MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION - FLORIDA CITY GOVERNMENT WEEK - <br />OCTOBER 18 - 24, 2009 <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy proclaimed the week of October 18 - 24, 2009 as Florida City Government Week. Ms. Donna <br />Gardner, City Clerk, accepted the proclamation. <br /> <br />C. PRESENTATION - CONNECTING TRANSPORTATION AND LAND USE IN <br />THE METROPLAN 2030 LONG RANGE TRANSPORTATION PLAN <br /> <br />Ms. K. Eliza Harris of Canin Associates gave a presentation entitled "Connecting Transportation and Land Use <br />in the METRO PLAN 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan. A copy ofthe presentation is attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Hufford arrived ct the meeting at 7:11 p.m. <br /> <br />7. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy reiterated the rules of <br />decorum. The following individuals came forward: <br /> <br />I) Mr. Craig Tull, 420 Ranch Trail, voiced concerns regarding the multi-modal transportation aspects of the <br />transportation plan presentation. Mr. Tull also voiced concerns regarding elected officials at all levels of <br />government not responding to concerns brought forward by citizens. <br />
