CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Susan Doerner- Seat No.1: <br /> <br />. No report. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jon Miller- Seat No.2: <br /> <br />. Thanked Commissioner Solomon for attending the recent Florida League of Cities Taxation and <br />Finance Committee meeting in his absence due to a mandatory meeting he had to attend for his <br />business. <br />. Reported he would be appearing on Orange TV in a panel discussion sponsored by the League of <br />Women Voters in November. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sandra Solomon- Seat No.3: <br /> <br />. Reported she attended the Florida League of Cities Taxation and Finance Committee meeting for <br />Commissioner Miller and found the discussion very interesting on how to keep cities solvent. <br />. RepOlied she was helping the Casselberry Rotary Club to locate sponsors for the next World Festival <br />scheduled for March 6, 2010. <br />. Voiced concerns regarding advertisement and the title of a party at Rachel's on October Itb. <br />. Voiced concerns regarding the usage of magnolia trees in the parks and right-of-ways, and stated she <br />prefers the use of elms. <br />. Noted there as an article in the newspaper recently regarding the metamorphous of the City of <br />Pittsburgh from the "Steel City" to the "Information Technology City" and is now being utilized as a <br />model for positive change. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Colleen Hufford- Seat No.4: <br /> <br />. Apologized for being late to the meeting, but noted she was delayed by traffic on the interstate <br />returning from a family event. <br /> <br />Mayor Charlene Glancy- Seat No. 5: <br /> <br />. No report. <br /> <br />18. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Solomon moved to adjourn the regular meeting; <br />Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hufford Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote 5- O. <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy adjourned the meeting at 9:25p.m. <br />
