CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of October 12, 2009- Regular Meeting Page 12 oft3 17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS Commissioner Susan Doerner- Seat No.1: . No report. Commissioner Jon Miller- Seat No.2: . Thanked Commissioner Solomon for attending the recent Florida League of Cities Taxation and Finance Committee meeting in his absence due to a mandatory meeting he had to attend for his business. . Reported he would be appearing on Orange TV in a panel discussion sponsored by the League of Women Voters in November. Commissioner Sandra Solomon- Seat No.3: . Reported she attended the Florida League of Cities Taxation and Finance Committee meeting for Commissioner Miller and found the discussion very interesting on how to keep cities solvent. . RepOlied she was helping the Casselberry Rotary Club to locate sponsors for the next World Festival scheduled for March 6, 2010. . Voiced concerns regarding advertisement and the title of a party at Rachel's on October Itb. . Voiced concerns regarding the usage of magnolia trees in the parks and right-of-ways, and stated she prefers the use of elms. . Noted there as an article in the newspaper recently regarding the metamorphous of the City of Pittsburgh from the "Steel City" to the "Information Technology City" and is now being utilized as a model for positive change. Vice Mayor Colleen Hufford- Seat No.4: . Apologized for being late to the meeting, but noted she was delayed by traffic on the interstate returning from a family event. Mayor Charlene Glancy- Seat No. 5: . No report. 18. ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to adjourn the regular meeting; Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hufford Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5- O. Mayor Glancy adjourned the meeting at 9:25p.m.
