<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 28, 2009- Worl{shop <br />Page 2 of3 <br /> <br />the maintenance of the property. <br /> <br />Bank/Mortgagee Requirements: <br />It Within ten (10) days of the issuance of a notice of default, the mortgagee will register the property <br />with the Police Department's Code Enforcement DivisiOl. <br />It An annual $150 registration fee shall accompany the registration forms. <br />It Registration pursuant to this section shall contain the name of a direct contact person which will <br />be verified. <br />It Bank/Mortgageewill be required to ensure property is properly maintained per Casselberry Code <br />of Ordinances. <br />It Abandoned properties are required to be secured and posted with a 24 hour contact phone <br />number. <br /> <br />Program Goals and Objectives: <br />It To track Casselberry propeliies currently in default and foreclosure. <br />It Institute a residential property default and foreclosure registration ordinance by November 2009. <br />It Create an Access database system to track properties registered as in default or involved in a <br />foreclosure by November 2009. <br />It Implement a system to educate banks/lending institutions with propeliies in default or foreclosure. <br />II Create informational letters to be sent to mOligagees upon adoption of ordinance in November. <br />It Create an informational press release upon adoption of ordinance in November. <br />II Appropriately address issues of noncompliance to include: <br />- Effective January 1, 2010, any known propeliies in foreclosure/default will be required to be <br />registered. Active code enforcement cases will be initiated against mortgagees after this date. <br />-Effective January 1, 2010, any mortgagees who fail to maintain properties in <br />foreclosure/default will have active code enforcement casesnitiated against them after this <br />date. <br /> <br />Program Implementation: <br />It Upon adoption of ordinance, an informationalletterwill be sent outto all known mOligagees with <br />properties in default/foreclosure. <br />It Thirty (30) day grace period will be given while mortgagees are educated. <br /> <br />Program Registration: <br />II Coordinated through the Code Enforcement Division. <br />It Registration fees will be collected and turned over to Finance Depatment. <br />It All registered properties will be entered into a database. <br /> <br />Property Maintenance: <br />It Code Enforcement will ensure registered properties are maintained. <br />II Any issues will be addressed with the mortgagee's listed contact person. <br />It Properties not brought into compliance will result in mortgagee being brought before the Code <br />Enforcement Board and fined. <br />
