<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 24, 2009 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 9 of15 <br /> <br />Introduction: Resolution 09-2073 provides for an interlocal agreement with Seminole County to transfer of <br />title of three (3) Seminole County drainage area parcels along Seminola Boulevard to the City. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: The City of Casselbeny will now be responsible for the maintenance ofthe property as well <br />as the functional and aesthetic maintenance of the retention pond on the site. The annual maintenance <br />associated with this property and retention pond is $6,625. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Administrative Services Director recommended approval of <br />Resolution 09-2073. <br /> <br />Discussion: Commissioner Miller stated in light of Mr. Lander's comments, that it be noted adequate buffers <br />be provided when considering development of the park in the future. Commissioner Doemer stated all of the <br />City's parks needed to provide adequate and consistent buffering. Commissioner Doerner voiced concerns <br />regarding the maintenance costs associated with these parcels. Commissioner Solomon spoke in favor of <br />Resolution 09-2073. Vice Mayor Hufford noted the conceptual plan associated with the park will go before <br />the Planning & Zoning Commission and the buffering issues could be addressed at that time. The City <br />Attorney clarified that Resolution 09-2073 is only for the interlocal agreement with Seminole County and the <br />conceptual plan is not part of this item. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Miller moved to approve Resolution 09-2073, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon. Motion carried 4 - 1 <br />(Commissioner Doerner dissenting) by voice vote. <br /> <br />9. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />A. Second Reading of Ordinance 09-1300 - Amending the Official Street Name Map to <br />Rename Sections of North Winter Park Drive and Name New Roadways <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 09-1300 by title only as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />STREET NAME MAP OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AS ESTABLISHED IN ARTICLE III, <br />SECTION 68-133, OF THE CITY CODE; RENAMING A PORTION OF NORTH WINTERP ARIZ DRIVE <br />TO GEE CREEK LANE, BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION OF GEE CREEK LANE EAST TO THE <br />INTERSECTION OF 7TH STREET; RENAMING A PORTION OF NORTH WINTER PARK DRIVE TO <br />OSCEOLA TRAIL, BEGINNING AT THE TIMBERLANE TRAIL INTERSECTION WEST TO THE <br />BEGINNING OF THE EXISTING OSCEOLA TRAIL AND SOUTH TO THE GEE CREEK LANE <br />INTERSECTION; NAMING A NEW PUBLIC WAY AS NORTH WINTER PARK DRIVE, EXTENDING <br />FROM 7TH STREET NORTH TO THE STATE ROAD 434 INTERSECTION; NAMING A NEW PUBLIC <br />WAY AS BELLE AVENUE, EXTENDING FROM THE SOUTH END OF THE EXISTING BELLE <br />A VENUE TO THE NEW PUBLIC W A YNORTH WINTER P ARIZ DRIVE INTERSECTION; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Ordinance 09-1300 was published in the <br />
