Resolution 09-2070 - SU??ort of Efforts to Revise Florida's Designated Uses and <br />Classification System of Surface Water Bodies <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING ACTIONS BY THE <br />FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL <br />REGULATION COMMISSION TO CONSIDER REASONABLE, SCIENCE-BASED AMENDMENTS TO <br />THE DESIGNATED USES AND CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM OF SURF ACE WATER BODIES WHILE <br />PROTECTING THE QUALITY OF FLORIDA'S WATERS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Introduction: Resolution 09-2070 provides for City Commission support of efforts to revise and update <br />Florida's surface water classification system. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: There is no budget impact associated with this resolution. However, revisions to the <br />classification system for water bodies could result in more efficient and effective use of the City's funds to <br />meet environmental regulations. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />09-2070. <br /> <br />G. Resolution 09-2071 - Approval of Change Orders L 2, 3, and 4 to the Contractual <br />Agreement with Roger B. Kennedy, Inc. for Construction Services ofWirz Park Trail <br />Section 2 <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NUMBERS 1,2, 3, AND 4 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WIRZ <br />P ARIZ TRAIL SECTION 2; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Introduction: Resolution 09-2071 provides for approval of change orders numbered 1,2,3, and 4 totaling <br />$176,646 to the contractual agreement with Roger B. Kennedy, Inc. for the construction services ofWirz Park <br />Trail Section 2. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: The unit costs for the change orders have been reviewed by staff and the contracted <br />construction management firm and were found to be acceptable. Funding is available for Wirz Park Trail <br />Section 2 changer order numbers 1,2,3, and 4 in the Bike Trail/Bike PathIPedestrian Trails Account Number <br />304-0410-572.63-89. These additional expenses are well within the allocated Seminole County funding. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager, the Finance Director, and the Administrative Services Director <br />recommended approval of Resolution 09-2071. <br />
