Minutes of January 12, 2009 - Workshop <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Solomon moved to approve the minntes <br />of the January 12, 2009 Workshop as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hufford. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote 5 - O. <br /> <br />6. PRESENTATIONS/COMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />A. Presentation - Fern ParklU.S. 17-92 Corridor Analysis <br /> <br />Mr. Phil Laurien, Executive Director of the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, gave a <br />presentation regarding the Fern Park/U.S. 17-92 corridor. A copy of the presentation is attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />B. Presentation - The Children's Cabint of Seminole County <br /> <br />Ms. Lynn Whitcomb, Communications Co-Chair of the Children's Cabinet of Seminole County, gave a <br />presentation on the homeless children in Seminole County. A copy of the presentation is attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />C. Mayor's Proclamation - Proclaiming March 29 - April S. 2009 as Children's Week <br />and AprilS. 2009 as Parents and Children's Day <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy proclaimed March 29 - AprilS, 2009 as Children's Week and AprilS, 2009 as Parents and <br />Children's Day in Casselberry. Ms. Jennifer Grant, Executive Director of the Early Learning Coalition of <br />Seminole County, accepted the proclamation. <br /> <br />7. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy announced that persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on <br />the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. The following individuals came <br />forward: <br /> <br />1) Mr. George Everett, 609 Little Eagle Court, (Unincorporated Seminole County), voiced <br />concerns and objections regarding the proposed Wirz Park bike trail. Mr. Everett stated he <br />initially objected to the placement of a bike path behind his properties back in 1995 and they <br />were told by city officials at that time, the bike trail would not move forward. <br />
