CASSI;LBI;RRY CITY COMMISSION Minates of January 10, 2011-Workshop Page 2 of 2 regarding economic development given on December 13, 2010 and the responses received on the Economic Development Feedback Response Forms from the City Commission. Discussion: Commission consensus was as follows: Digital Media: Commission consensus was to continue developing a digital media cluster but rather than spend money on a feasibility study- focus and possibly expend money on marketing, including promotion on the City website. Pre-Authorization to Respond to Economic Opportunities: Commission consensus was to have a special meeting called when any economic opportunities occm• that require rapid action rather than grant pre- authorization to staff to respond to those oppor•truiities. Amateur Spot•ts Facility: Commission consensus was to continue to work with the Seminole County and the Tourist Development Council to explore possible development of an indoor sports facility somewhere in proximity to Casselbeny to act as an economic driver for the area. Culinary Arts/Restaurant Row: Commission consensus was to continue to focus on development of a Culinary Arts/Restaurant Row in the area of the City Center Property, the Lake Concord Property and Target outparcels. Casselbeny Targeted Industry List: Commission consensus was to have staff bring back a targeted indListly list for adoption which inchides health care facilities, casual and fine dining establishments and "clean green" industries. The Business Park: Commission consensus was to move forward with the vision of the business park with the name of "Casselbeny Idea Park" and have banner exposure at the intellection of SR 434 and Winter Park Drive. Business Friendly Initiatives: Discussion was deferred due to the holly. 4.
