CASSI;LBI;RRI' CITY CONIDIISSION <br />Minutes of January 10, 2011-Regular Meeting <br />Page 8 of 21 <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING VARIOUS <br />PORTIONS OF PART III, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, OF THE <br />CASSELBERRY CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO PROVIDE FOR AN EIGHT (8) FOOT HIGH <br />FENCE IN RESIDENTIAL 'AND COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS INCLUDING ARTICLE VII, <br />"GENERAL REGULATIONS", SECTION 2-7.9, "ACCESSORY STRUCTURES," AND SECTION 2- <br />7.10, "FENCES AND WALLS"; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Ordinance 10-1342 was published in the <br />Orlando Sentinel on December 30, 2010. <br />Staff Presentation: Ms. Sandra Smith, Chief Planner stated Ordinance 10-1342 provides amendments to the <br />Unified Land Development Regulations (ULDR) to allow a maximum fence and wall height of eight (8) feet in <br />residential and commercial districts to ensure consistency between the parking requirements within residential <br />districts and the permitted fence heights within the ULDR. The City Commission approved Ordinance 10- <br />1342 on first reading on December 13, 2010. <br />Budget Impact: This item has no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval of <br />Ordinance 10-1342 on second and final reading. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy opened the public hearing relative to Ordinance 10-1342. No one came <br />forward. Mayor Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Ordinance 10-1342. <br />MOTION: Commissionel• Hufford moved to approve Ordinance 10-1342, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Miller. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote 5 - 0. <br />B. Second Reading of Ordinance 10-1343 -Amendment to the Unified Land <br />Development Regulations Section 3-10.9, Parking in Residential Districts (LPA 10- <br />10 <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 10-1343 by title as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING PORTIONS OF <br />PART III, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CASSELBERRY CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES, CHAPTER IH, PERFORMANCE CRITERIA, AMENDING SECTION 3-10.9, <br />"PARI~PTG IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS"; REQUIRING AN EIGHT (8) FOOT HIGH SCREEN <br />FOR BUSINESS RELATED VEHICLES; REQUIRING A SIX (6) FOOT TO EIGHT (8) FOOT HIGH <br />SCREEN FOR RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT BY FEBRUARY 1, 2012; PROVIDING FOR <br />CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Notice of Public hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Ordinance 10-1343 was published in the <br />Orlando Sentinel on December 30, 2010. <br />
