PLE GE F ALLEGIANCE <br />Commissioner Doerner led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />DOLL CALL <br />The City Cleric called the roll of Elected Officials. All were present. <br />INITTES <br />A. Minutes of June 29, 2010 -Workshop <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Solomon moved to approve the minutes of the June 29, 2010 <br />Workshop, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 - 0. <br />6. P SENTATIONS/COMMENDATIONS <br />A. Presentation: Save our Homes Taxable Value "Recapture" Provision <br />A presentation was given by Mr. Randy Newlon, Finance Director, and Mr. David Johnson, Seminole County <br />Property Appraiser, on the "Recapture" provision of Florida's Save Ozrr Homes state statutes and its impact on <br />homesteaded city residents. Over 3,000 homesteaded properties in Casselberry will see their assessed values <br />increase by 2.7% due to the "Recapture" provision. A copy of the presentation is attached to and made a <br />part of these minutes. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Miller moved to consider item 12. B., Tentative Tax Rate for <br />Fiscal Yeal• 2010/2011 after item 7, Citizens' Comments. Motion was seconded <br />by Vice Mayor Solomon. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 - 0. <br />B. Presentation: City Investment Policy <br />A presentation on the Investment Policy for the City of Casselberry was given by Ms. Rebecca Bowman, <br />Accounting Manager. A copy of the presentation is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />7. CITIZENS' ~:® ENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments.
