Old Bll$iness The results of a second election of Inemhers on the question of whether to approve the addition of a benefi# elillaueelnent called a "S11are Plan." The votes returned were 23- Yes atld 21 -- No. There were 64 members eligible to vote anti 20 hallo#s that were not returned, To provide valid guidance to the Board more than 50% of eligible luelnbers (32) must vote in favor of the enhancement, The election rehu•n was again inconclusive. The Board discussed the IIIeI•its of llalclipg a third election #o finally resolve the matter. It was felt that with the active participation of the Board members fl•ottl the Police atul Tire Departments that a more complete t•eturtl of ballots might he achieved.
