WHEREAS,it is appropriate and necessary in order to proceed further with the redevelopment of <br />that part of the Community Redevelopment Area that lies within the City of Casselberry, in accordance <br />with the Redevelopment Act, that the Community Redevelopment Plan for the Community Redevelopment <br />Area be concurred in by the City Commission in accordance with Section 163.356(1), of the Act. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA: <br />The City Commission does hereby find that: <br />(a) There has been prepared for redevelopment of the Community Redevelopment Area, <br />pursuant to and consistent with Section 163.360 of the Act, the document entitled United <br />States Highway 17-92 Corridor Community Redevelopment Plan, prepared by County staff <br />and Ivey, Harris & Walls, Inc., the County's planning consultant, and for consideration by <br />the Seminole County Community Redevelopment Agency on November 25, 1997, a copy <br />of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof (the "Plan"), and <br />(b) The City Commission has reviewed the Plan in accordance with the provisions and <br />requirements of the Act. <br />2. The City Commission does hereby expressly determine that it is appropriate, proper, and timely that <br />the Plan be concurred in at this time in order that the provisions of the Act and any and all resolutions, <br />ordinances and laws implementing the Plan may be utilized to further redevelopment within that part of <br />the Community Redevelopment Area that lies within the City of Casselberry. Therefore, the City <br />Commission does hereby concur in the Plan, contingent upon a City of Casselberry representative serving <br />as a voting member on the Community Redevelopment Agency in Seminole County. <br />3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br />4.
