RESOLUTION - 06-1697 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH GLATTING JACKSON <br />KERCHER ANGLIN LOPEZ RINEHART TO PROVIDE DESIGN SERVICES FOR SEGMENT <br />ONE AND SEGMENT THREE OF THE CASSELBERRY BIKE TRAIL AND TO UPDATE THE <br />CITY BIKE TRAIL MASTER PLAN; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry Comprehensive Plan requires the provision <br />of an interconnected continuous bicycle system; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to construct such facilities to benefit its citizens and <br />Seminole County is participating in this effort; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission has identified Segment One and Segment <br />Three of the Casselberry Bike Plan as priorities; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has selected Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin Lopez <br />Rinehart to provide the design services for Segment One and Segment Three and to <br />update the City Bike Trail Master Plan for a fee of $214,500.00; and <br />WHEREAS, Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin Lopez Rinehart is currently under <br />contract with the City of Lakeland to design bike trails and City staff have reviewed the <br />proposed contract for Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin Lopez Rinehart and found it to be <br />complete, competitive and adequate for this project and recommends approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission wishes to enter into a contract with Glatting <br />Jackson Kercher Anglin Lopez Rinehart to design Segment One and Segment Three of <br />the Casselberry Bike Trail and to update the City Bike Trail Master Plan, and hereby <br />authorizes the Mayor to approve the contract between the City of Casselberry and <br />Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin Lopez Rinehart. <br />SECTION 11. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair <br />the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
