RESOLUTION 10-2155 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SCOPE OF SUPPLY AGREEMENT WITH SANDERS COMPANY, INC. FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A SMITH & LOVELESS WET-WELL MOUNT LIFT STATION AT QUEENS MIRROR; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, The City's wastewater system requires routine maintenance which includes the replacement/conversion of lift stations as necessary to meet regulatory agency safety requirements while maintaining efficiency and reliability; and WHEREAS, after a thorough investigation of lift stations in the City, Public Works staff identified the Queens Mirror can lift station as not meeting safety requirements as set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Confined Space Standards (Title 29 CFR 1910.146); and WHEREAS, in order to be in compliance with OSHA standards, the can lift station must be converted to a Smith & Loveless wet-well mount lift station as stipulated in the City's utility specifications; and WHEREAS, Smith & Loveless, Inc. submitted a sole source installation letter which designates Sanders Company, Inc. as an exclusive installer of their wet-well mount lift stations in the State of Florida; and WHEREAS, Sanders Company, Inc. has provided Public Works staff with a Scope of Supply Agreement for an amount not to exceed 22,764.00, for the installation of the Smith & Loveless wet-well mount lift station for Queens Mirror; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the agreement submitted by Sanders Company, Inc. and find it favorable to the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION L The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Scope of Supply Agreement with Sanders Company. Inc. for an amount of 22,764.00 (attached as "Exhibit A") for the installation of the Smith & Loveless wet-well mount lift station for Queens Mirror and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed.
